for the team draft/matchups does the winner of the toss get to choose whether they put up a team first or not?

Technically losing the toss could be more beneficial as it allows you to choose 2 match ups?

The Captain who wins the toss gets to choose to go first or second.

Ok just a query on the skills.. say you have a 12 man wood elf roster who max out with 19+ spps in their 1st 3 games... does that mean they are done for development?

I can see plenty of teams getting 3 skills per game and being maxed out for games 5 and 6? is this the intention? or can you start doubling up skills if everyone on your team has one

Pretty sure the answer to this on the last page was that you only get one skill per player and that's that.

In other thoughts, any sign of a rego page yet?

Dunno, maybe they intended to leave it in to give the Bash teams a chance for at least one skill per match?

I've asked for a confirmation from the TOs. :)

Like the format, definitely keen to come. Just need clearance from the boss and to find some coaches stupid enough to be on a team with me.

Ok so to clarify. In the post game sequence there is no:
Rolling for winnings
Assigning MVP
Rolling for fan factor
Rolling for skills
Purchasing players...

Instead all your doing is:
Tallying all the spps and assigning 1 or morev skills
Adjusting the tv up or down in multiples of 20(1 per skill)

I don't really think that not having an MVP is disadvantaging anyone.

I think it rewards the same concept as prog. If you can win and win big you will get lots of SPP's, and if you can do so while avoiding taking casualties then you'll be unstoppable.

The choose MVP at Cancon means that most people are still getting one skill even if the game doesn't go well. But its still possible to not get a skill if its a really bad game. Our system has everyone getting 1 skill and then the teams that do better getting more than one skill. This means that yes agi teams will probrably scale up earlier, but as the bash teams start pumping up their skills they'll get better at killing and injuring those players.

Plus no one likes dwarves anyway so who cares.

PS- and i thank Thomsy for this. In the case that the Undead or undead variants raise a zombie. The Zombie only lasts until the end of the game. I'm tossing up whether to let Nurgle have a Rotter for 1 game if they kill someone using Nurgles Rot... What do you guys think?

Quick question (sorry if it's been answered).
Can you sub players? Say for example James can only make the Saturday and I can only make the Sunday, can we just sub in for each other? Seems logical that we would keep the same team but would it stuff you around too much if that were the case or is it an option? (Just a theoretical question at this stage!)

Edit* by keeping the same team I of course mean the race and roster we are playing.

I would suggest no.

@Van - I'll leave that one to Grumpsh :)

I'm actually more than happy for members of a team to do that. One play Saturday and one play Sunday. However I would prefer it if:
Both players used the same models, or at least had their numbers really clearly marked..
The team captain and/or players concerned let me know in a pm at least a week out.
Both players are NAF registered.

And of course there are only team prizes up for grabs so you will have to work out how you split your trophy

Question about permanent injuries, MNG, sacking etc...how does this apply to star players?

Example: I buy Morg and he cops a -1 St in 2nd game (as if :D ).
I choose to sack him at the end of Game 2...do I get 'Rookie' Morg for Game 3?
Is 'Rookie' Morg still a star player with skills/stats as per normal Morg?
If not what is he and does this rule definition apply to all star players?

Cheers

sooooo tempting. Star players wont be getting upgrades or skills and likewise star players who are killed or injured are just replaced by healthy ones. I dont know if anyone short of halflings will really be stacking up on star players with a 110 tv but that may be a pro to star players. The con of course being that star players will not contribute to the SPP's of the team.
